Beginning July 1, applicants for concealed carry permits must complete an eight-hour training course, including a written exam and live-fire exercise. Certain misdemeanors within five years of application will disqualify individuals from obtaining permits.

Minimum Wage Increases

Colorado’s state minimum wage has increased to $14.81 (previously $14.42) per hour.

Tipped workers’ minimum wage rises to $11.79 per hour.

The citywide minimum wage in 2025 is $18.81 (previously $18.29) per hour. The minimum wage for tipped workers in the food and beverage industry will be $15.79 if they receive $3.02 in hourly tips.

Colorado’s new laws focus on improving residents’ safety, fairness, and quality of life through safer driving, enhanced child protection, and wage adjustments. As 2025 begins, all Coloradans must stay informed about these updates to ensure compliance and maximize benefits.
