A Celebration of Life service for Lee Kathryn Gash-Maxey, the former executive director of the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00 am at People’s Presbyterian Church, 2780 York St., in Denver.

A native of Denver,  she received her education from  Denver Public Schools and Colorado State University. Gash-Maxey was Executive Director at the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce from 2020 to 2023.

In her obituary, she was noted for her distinguished career as an Emmy Award-winning Television Producer. Additionally, she dedicated her time and expertise to serving on several boards and committees and actively maintained memberships in social and service organizations, positively impacting the community.

Her mother, Thelma Mae Gash, her brother, Kent Boyd Gash, and a host of family members and friends are among the survivors.
