Active Shooter Incident at Main Event in Highlands Ranch

Summary
On the night of February 8, 2025, at 11:51 pm, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to a call regarding an active shooter at the Main Event Entertainment Center at 64 Centennial Blvd in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Upon arrival, deputies encountered a male suspect in the parking lot who was armed. After issuing several commands to drop the weapon, the male turned toward the deputy, prompting the deputy to fire his weapon. The male was struck and, despite life-saving efforts, was pronounced deceased shortly after.
Inside the business, deputies located a female victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital, where she is expected to recover. Initial investigations identified a female, later named Nevaeha Crowley-Sanders, as the shooter. She was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault. Additionally, another female involved in the incident was transported due to a medical issue that was not life-threatening.
The investigation into this tragic incident’s events is ongoing, with detectives interviewing witnesses and gathering additional evidence. As part of standard protocol, the deputy involved in the shooting has been placed on paid administrative leave while the incident is thoroughly reviewed.
Update on Investigation and Arrests
A follow-up update released on February 9, 2025, identified Nevaeha Crowley-Sanders, a 23-year-old from Denver, as the primary suspect in the shooting. She was arrested on suspicion of criminal attempt, first-degree murder, and first-degree assault. The investigation has since revealed that multiple firearms were recovered from the scene, and detectives continue to gather information to piece together the circumstances surrounding the altercation. The deputy involved in the shooting acted to protect both himself and others from immediate danger, and the office remains committed to full transparency in the investigation.
On February 16, 2025, a public statement confirmed that the sheriff’s office had prepared to release video footage of the officer-involved shooting. However, due to a legal objection from the defense attorney representing Nevaeha Crowley-Sanders, the release of the footage has been delayed. The sheriff’s office emphasized transparency and allowed due process to unfold.
Investigators have also confirmed that Jalin Seabron, the male who the deputy fatally shot, was an accessory to the female suspect and was involved in the altercation, which escalated into violence inside the business and ultimately in the parking lot.
Additional Arrests
As the investigation progressed, law enforcement identified and arrested several other individuals in connection with the events. Among those detained were Niyonii Crowley-Sanders, Keylonie Fenery, Lorine Stegall, Devonta Jackson-Keys, Kiacia Jackson, and Ajie Fair-Munoz, who faced various charges, including accessory to attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and unlawful possession of firearms. These individuals were taken into custody following extensive interviews with witnesses and the review of surveillance footage from the scene.
Nevaeha Crowley-Sanders is currently being held on a $1 million bond, while the other individuals involved may or may not be in custody as of this writing.
